Job Description Job Title: Polysomnographer / Sleep Tech Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: Polysomnographer / Sleep Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Valid license required Certifications: BLS, RPSGT or RRT with SDS
Must-Have: 1 year of experience required. Experience with pediatric and adult patients. Ability to work independently with a patient ratio of 1:2 for adults and 1:1 for pediatrics. Charting experience with Epic required. Certification in BLS required. RPSGT or RRT certification required.
Description: Deliver high-quality sleep diagnostics and therapy. Provide care for both pediatric and adult patient populations. Utilize special equipment including Alice 6 G3 software and ResMed CPAP units. Conduct various sleep studies, including polysomnography and sleep latency tests. Effectively monitor and assess patients throughout the sleep study process. Fully understand and implement infection control protocols. Educate patients on sleep health and device usage. Participate in interdisciplinary support when needed. Travelers may float between facilities as required. Willingness to work weekends and major holidays is expected. Guarantee hours are subject to facility policies. Demonstrate effective communication and teamwork skills. Maintain documentation in compliance with facility standards. Stay current with developments and best practices in sleep technology.
