General Summary:
The Treatment Center (TC) Strategy & Operations Associate Director, US T1D will deliver a strategic vision for Vertex -treatment center (TC) activation, specifically supporting Vertex's first T1D cell therapy commercial launch. The Associate Director would oversee continuous activation including supporting TC facing conversations (customer facing conversations), as well as serve as a repository for best practices, lessons learned, and continuous improvement recommendations.The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and organized individual with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Partners with T1D Director of Treatment Center Strategy & Operations to develop and co-lead the TC onboarding strategy and activation process (pre-approval), understands roles and responsibilities across functions, and coordinates across teams to ensure efficient and rapid delivery
Leads the development of cross-functional, compliant U.S. field team direction on engagement (both with centers and across functional teams)
Collaborates with external agency and internal Legal, Medical, and Regulatory partners to deliver marketing/sales-specific activation tactics
Partners to develop a process to measure and report on activation progress as well as identify opportunities for improvement
Collaborates closely with the T1D Sr Manager to ensure TC activation deliverables are captured and kept up-to-date in the commercial launch tracker
Serves as critical liaison between Marketing and field teams

Highly skilled in influencing cross-functional teams, including interfacing with key internal and external stakeholders with the interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and succeed in a highly matrixed environment
Ability to build strong internal as well as external relationships to enhance and strengthen represent the company's profile
Ability to lead a project team, to oversee generation of insights and apply those insights to business problems/opportunities and make strategic recommendations
Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage initiatives that require collaboration across multiple functional areas
Outstanding communication of information and ideas, both written and verbal, to diverse audiences; employs active listening skills
Knowledge and understanding of Cell and Gene Therapy and/or rare disease market
Proven ability to excel and be agile in a highly dynamic and fast-growing organization with demonstrated capability to be at ease in a matrix structure with ability to influence
Demonstrated ability to develop strategy and make strategic recommendations as well as ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems
Ability to prioritize, demonstrating first class organizational skills and time management skills
Solid understanding of the compliance framework with a high level of integrity
Self-motivated; acts independently and prioritizes appropriately; embraces unexpected changes or challenges and drives to improved solutions
Demonstrated fluency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Fluent in English
Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in relevant discipline
Typically requires 8 years of experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical or medical technology environment or the equivalent combination of education and experience
Pay Range:
$165,100 - $247,600
Disclosure Statement:
The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
