The
University of Utah Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences
is seeking talented individuals to join our Acute Care Imaging Section. As part of this role, you’ll have the flexibility to provide clinical services from the comfort of your own residence using our cutting-edge home PACS technology, from 8pm – 2am (Mountain Standard Time). You’ll enjoy a rewarding work-life balance with a rotating 6 on, 8 off (Mon-Sat) and 5 on, 9 off (Mon-Fri). As a valued member of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to engage in teaching for residents and fellows, participate in quality improvement and value initiatives, and attend occasional department activities in Salt Lake City, Utah. You’ll also have access to exciting opportunities to engage in clinical research and participate in professional societies. Your academic appointment will be at a rank commensurate with your experience and training. Depending on your academic experience, a departmental leadership position may also be considered. Qualifications:
The candidate should be American Board of Radiology (or equivalent) certified or eligible, fellowship trained preferably in Neuroradiology or Emergency Radiology, and have a strong interest in innovative clinical services and radiology education. Outstanding clinical and interpersonal skills are a prerequisite. The candidate has to be able to obtain physician licenses in Utah, and other states, as needed, where our Teleradiology Section provides clinical services. Facilities and Institution:
Teleradiologists and overnight radiologists of the Department provide overnight clinical services for the
University Hospital ,
Clinical Neuroscience Center ,
Huntsman Cancer Hospital , and community clinics that are primarily located in Utah. The Department offers an outstanding residency program in Diagnostic Radiology. Residents are onsite during overnight clinical services. Extensive imaging resources, including multiple 3T MRIs, dual-energy CTs, intraoperative MRI, MR-guided focused ultrasound, and PET-CT scanners are available for clinical work and research. The Department manages a large imaging research laboratory where 3 3T MRI scanners are in operation. The University of Utah Health Sciences offers various leadership programs and training opportunities for faculty members.
