Veterinary Technician – GP/Urgent Care - Carmel Valley Papaya Veterinary Care is looking for Veterinary Technician candidates for our GP/Urgent Care hospital in Carmel Valley (San Diego) . Duties and Responsibilities: Assist doctors with outpatient cases and hospitalized patients. Provide outstanding client communication and education. Demonstrate solid technical skills including blood draws, IV catheter placement, monitoring anesthesia, administering drugs, medication calculations, pharmaceutical knowledge, and proper patient handling. Maintain a safe, clean environment. Adapt to an ever-changing environment, handling urgent cases as they arrive. Interact empathetically and helpfully with clients, vendors, peers, and managers. Prioritize, determine next steps, and communicate effectively with clients, doctors, and team members. Work independently and as part of a team. Advocate for patients by providing comfort, diagnostics, surgical, and nursing care. Give and receive constructive feedback in real time. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: Minimum of 3 years' experience in veterinary medicine with strong technical skills. Comfortable with front and back-office procedures. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, proactive thinking, and a positive attitude. Ability to work in a dynamic environment. Experience with surgery.
