3D Designer
Robert Half's marketing & creative client is seeking a 3D Designer for a 6+ month contract opportunity. This is a remote, 40-hour-per-week position, and candidates must be available to work eastern (EST) hours. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in experiential, tradeshow, or large-scale event design. To be considered, candidates must submit a portfolio showcasing relevant 3D design work that demonstrates their ability to create immersive, large-scale experiential environments. The ideal designer will thrive in the production and technical aspects of 3D design, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to transform 2D concepts into 3D spatial designs. Leveraging system-based architecture and production knowledge, the 3D Designer will contribute to creating cutting-edge, large-scale experiential designs that leave a lasting impression. Key Responsibilities: Work closely with art directors and graphic designers to extend 2D graphics into 3D immersive designs Develop detailed control drawings with dimensions, material specifications, and production details Render 3D models and visualizations for internal reviews and client-facing presentations Execute designs using system-based exhibit architecture platforms Collaborate with engineers to review and approve production drawings Participate in live CAD sessions and occasional client-facing creative reviews Adapt existing 3DS Max files as needed to ensure workflow Requirements: 3+ years of experience in 3D design for experiential, environmental, or architectural projects Proficiency in 3DS Max, with the ability to collaborate effectively across platforms Experience with modular exhibit systems (e.g., Aluvision, Optinorm) Strong knowledge of materials, fabrication workflows, and production documentation Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple moving pieces in fast-paced environments Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, graphic designers, and art directors Experience in client-facing creative sessions is a plus Portfolio showcasing relevant 3D design work Excellent project management and communication skills Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
