The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is seeking an
Applications Development Analyst C - Advanced
to join its team in Tallahassee, FL. This role involves developing, enhancing, and maintaining custom software applications while working in a collaborative, Agile environment. Mandatory Qualifications Candidates
must
meet the following criteria: Residency Requirement : Must live in or be willing to relocate to
Tallahassee, FL . This is an
onsite role
with no long-term remote work option. Education : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or
equivalent work experience . Experience : 5+ years
as a
lead developer . 8+ years
of broad experience with development technologies, including: SQL Server, REST, XML, JSON Python, GIS Frameworks, and CSS Experience in
full lifecycle application development , including architecture, coding, testing, and deployment. Strong skills in
legacy application modernization
and migration to
service-oriented architectures . Desired Qualifications Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, DAD). Strong knowledge of design patterns, performance optimization, and troubleshooting strategies. Experience working with cloud-based platforms like
Microsoft Azure
or
Amazon Web Services (AWS) . Experience leading
technical teams
in delivering enterprise applications. Key Responsibilities Serve as a
senior developer
on cross-functional application projects. Design and implement
scalable, high-performance applications
that align with FDOT’s technology strategy. Ensure
code quality, efficiency, and maintainability
through unit testing and best practices. Collaborate with stakeholders to
translate business needs into technical solutions . Provide guidance on
application architecture, modernization, and integration . Onsite in Tallahassee, FL
