SUMMARY OF POSITION: This position will be responsible for contributing to the daily operations within the BSC Foundation office. It is a position with flexible work hours during the work week of Monday-Friday, including approximately 6-12 hours/week and will report to the BSC VP for College Advancement & BSC Foundation Director.
POSITION DESCRIPTION & DETAILS:
- Primarily performs data entry of alumni and donor information.
- Performs office tasks such as photocopying, scanning, filing, mailing, and organizing documents and supplies.
- Collaborates, conducts research, and gathers information for projects or assignments.
- Supports department or team initiatives by participating in meetings and supporting events.
- Provides quality customer service by answering phone calls and assisting visitors.
- Fosters innovation, creativity, and ideas to improve/enhance processes and functions within the department and for Bismarck State College.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Required:
- Current Bismarck State College student, enrolled in at least six credits.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple projects.
- Strong keyboarding skills and good computer software skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Able to work independently and handle interruptions.
- Maintains strict confidentiality.
- Good interpersonal skills, demonstrated positive customer service, and ability to relate to people of varying ages and backgrounds.
- Administrative experience.
- Experience in data entry and the utilization of data management tools and software.
