Overview
Responsible for implementing and supporting HR programs and policies at the home office and community level, including workers' compensation, health and safety programs, and compliance training. Ensures areas of responsibility are compliant with applicable laws. Provides accurate, timely information and customer-focused support to managers and employees. Maintains compliant HR-related records. Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and manage the workers' compensation program. Implement all aspects of the program, including claim investigations, settlements, and litigation. Participate in settlement negotiations, recommend loss control strategies, and ensure conformance to laws and regulations while maintaining high customer service standards. Develop, recommend, and implement workers' compensation policies and procedures; set goals and objectives. Supervise employee injury case management; oversee claim investigations; develop case handling strategies in consultation with third-party vendors. Maintain an efficient record-keeping system for workers' compensation claims and related activities. Ensure company policies and procedures comply with regulatory and ethical standards. Review and evaluate procedures and reports to identify risks or issues. Conduct regular audits, enforce policies, and design control systems. Lead employee training on compliance issues. Interpret, apply, and explain federal, state, and local laws, ensuring compliance. Research and analyze workers' compensation claims; make sound recommendations. Analyze administrative problems, evaluate options, and develop creative solutions. Maintain accurate records. Communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred. Minimum of 5 years' experience in workers' compensation law and/or management. Ability to work independently, make decisions, and manage multiple priorities. Strong problem-solving skills. Excellent customer service skills. Teamwork and collaboration skills. Must be mobile and able to perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 30 lbs. Ability to sit for extended periods and work at a computer. Salary range: $113,000 - $121,000 per year.
