Nestled in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley, Blue Ridge Community College (BRCC) has been equipping students, alumni, and employees with the knowledge and experience to transform themselves, the community, and the world for over 55 years. The College's comprehensive program of instruction includes associate degrees and certificates in both occupational and university transfer programs. Non-credit workforce training and special interest classes for individuals, business, and industry are also offered. BRCC is seeking a Healthcare Program Manager to provide a comprehensive program of healthcare-based non-credit courses to respond to the education and training needs and interests of BRCC's service area. The Program Manager serves as a member of the Workforce Solutions team, responsible for supporting and enhancing the workforce, community, and economic development of our region.

Responsibilities include: Assess the needs of the regional healthcare market and develop and deliver a comprehensive set of courses to serve that need Identify credentials to help boost employability for area residents Determine course titles, instructors, fees, locations, times and other logistics related to program Develop and monitor a budget for the comprehensive program, assuring generation of a profit for the College Coordinate accreditation efforts with partner agencies that provide oversight to credentials Oversee curriculum design, faculty recruitment, and course effectiveness Partner with Advisory Committees and Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness to ensure programs are making intended impact (enrollment numbers, student satisfaction rates, business satisfaction rates, etc.) Work with Deans of Academic Affairs to identify opportunities to bridge non-credit credentials into credit coursework where appropriate Teach courses when such teaching is in the best interest of the program; serve as back-up instructor as necessary Assist and advise marketing team of promotion methods and means Achieve the portfolio's financial objectives, as identified by Dean of Workforce Solutions
Special Assignments
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
KSA's/Required Qualifications Highly motivated self-starter Ability to lead a team toward a shared goal Comfortable developing and maintaining professional relationships with healthcare industry representatives Excellent interpersonal skills and professional approach Strong written and verbal communication skills Registered Nurse with an active license Experience using a variety of computer software/programs and ability to learn new ones, particularly related to online instruction
Additional Considerations Experience as a program manager Experience with instruction and curriculum design, particularly in the healthcare field Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SIS, and Canvas Experience with recruitment, retention, and performance evaluation
