What You’ll Be Doing The MES System Engineer will play a key role in transforming manufacturing operations by implementing and supporting PharmaSuite or Syncade MES solutions. Responsibilities include developing MES components, supporting validation, ensuring compliance, and collaborating with global teams to standardize and optimize MES systems.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and integrate MES components. Create and maintain interfaces with other Lilly systems. Translate functional requirements into technical solutions. Support MES start-up activities. Standardize solutions across sites to drive value. Maintain validation documentation. Evaluate new technologies and trends. Communicate with MES vendors to address needs. Adapt roadmaps to evolving site needs and trends. Promote a site culture aligned with Lilly’s values and standards. Preferred Skills Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing regulations (cGMP). Leadership and teamwork skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to change. Strong communication skills. Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Experience with vendor escalation and technical support. Basic Requirements Bachelor’s degree in engineering, CS, IT, or related field. At least 2 years’ experience with MES in pharma or life sciences. 2+ years’ technical experience with MES solutions. Experience with platforms like PharmaSuite, Syncade, DeltaV MES, or PAS-X is preferred. Additional Preferences Understanding of GMP, CSV, GAMP 5, 21 CFR Part 11. Experience with validation of batch records. Strong documentation skills. Effective cross-functional communication. Proficiency in English. Additional Information Location: Indianapolis, US, PR sites. Occasional off-hours and weekend work. 10-15% domestic/international travel expected. #WeAreLilly
