LNA I Assists and delivers direct care to psychiatric and/or developmentally delayed residents to whom they are assigned. Assists residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and performing related tasks to provide a safe, clean environment. LNA II Assists and mentors Nursing Assistant Is in providing individualized direct care to psychiatric and/or developmentally delayed residents, including the care and maintenance of sanitary conditions of residents and surroundings: Works under the general direction of a licensed nurse. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education. Other Information
Minimum Qualifications: LNA I Education: High school diploma or high school equivalency credential. Experience: No experience required. License/Certification: Must possess and maintain a current license for Nursing Assistant as approved by the New Hampshire Board of Nursing. Must possess a valid drivers license if responsible to transport residents to appointments. LNA II Education: High school diploma or high school equivalency credential. Experience: Two years of experience as a Licensed Nursing Assistant. License/Certification: Must possess and maintain a current license for Nursing Assistant as approved by the New Hampshire Board of Nursing. Must possess a valid drivers license if responsible to transport residents to appointments. One additional labor grade is provided for Medication Nursing Assistants with a valid NH Medication Nursing Assistant License. Employees license is reviewed and renewed biennially, in accordance with Board of Nursing Licensing requirements. Special Requirements
For promotion from Licensed Nursing Assistant I, pay band 2 to Licensed Nursing Assistant II, pay band 3, employees must: May be required to work non-traditional work hours to meet the needs of the facility; Meet the minimum qualification requirements of the Licensed Nursing Assistant II; Receive satisfactory annual performance evaluations; Be recommended for promotion by supervisor(s); May be required to work non-traditional work hours to meet the needs of the facility.
