As the VP of Retail, you will lead our frontline employee base ensuring our people and the Bank's performance are operating with alignment to our mission and overall strategic goals. You will oversee all aspects of the retail delivery function of the Bank, and manage the Bank's branch retail supervisory roles. In addition, this role is instrumental in developing and implementing efficient processes between various business lines in order to elevate the customer experience. Lastly, given this role is part of the Kensington Bank Leadership Team, this role is critical in determining the long-term direction, policies and procedures, and other strategic issues that may arise or have been set forth by the Board of Directors to meet the financial goals and objectives of the Bank.
Responsibilities
Training and motivate the retail staff to provide exceptional customer service consistent with the Bank's mission and values, while ensuring that technical and operational efficiencies in the retail department are attained to the highest degree possible. Assure that the retail area is actively deepening customer relationships through direct sales efforts, cross-selling and outbound contact efforts. Maintain a complete understanding of all deposit products and services the bank offers, and be proficient in account opening, which includes checking, savings, certificates, IRA's, HSA's, trust accounts, etc. Performing all teller functions of the branch, which may include taking deposits, withdrawals, payments, transfers from customers, sell money orders, and any necessary help customers may require with additional related services. Provide input for the hiring and review process of frontline retail staff. Participate in and advocate for the various retail product promotions and bank initiatives that are launched throughout the year. Understand and adhere to bank operational procedures
Requirements
Four-year degree in a applicable field of study, preferred, or 5-10 years of experience in banking with emphasis on sales and customer service. Exceptional interpersonal skills, including confidentiality. Desire to build relationships, collaborate with coworkers and enhance the lives of our customers. This job requires skills needed in a typical office environment. This includes computer skills, communications skills, as well as utilization of office equipment. Travel as business needs require.
Salary Range
[based on experience]: $60,000-$78,000
