Full Time Day Shift Shift:
Day hours 7a-7p (Staffing 2 days and 2 office days (4 shifts per week), some office days may overlap 3p-11p to mirror peak census times. Discuss further with the Director.) The role you’ll contribute: The Nurse Manager is a healthcare professional who adheres to organizational standards and guides the unit(s) by coordinating care across patient populations. Reporting to the department Director, the Nurse Manager leads the interdisciplinary team, promotes resource utilization, and monitors clinical and operational outcomes. Responsibilities include managing staffing, scheduling, patient care activities, quality initiatives, throughput, patient satisfaction, and employee engagement. The Nurse Manager also assists with hiring, disciplinary actions, and performance evaluations, advocating for efficient, safe, and high-quality nursing care in compliance with standards. The role involves integrating clinical, human resource, and financial data for decision-making, demonstrating leadership in conflict resolution, service recovery, and strategic planning. The Nurse Manager is accountable for planning, organizing, and evaluating nursing activities, maintaining clinical competency, and ensuring optimal patient care and staff development. The value you’ll bring to the team: Perform Nurse Leader rounding on all patients daily, prioritizing discharges. Provide immediate feedback to nurses after rounding. Unit Productivity Performance: Assist with staff scheduling and payroll, and coordinate staffing coverage. Oversee charge nurse staffing per grid, managing overtime, breaks, and staffing levels. Human Resources: Support employee engagement through rounding and addressing staff concerns. Participate in interviewing, peer reviews, coaching, disciplinary actions, and evaluations. Clinical and Quality Performance: Ensure documentation compliance, perform audits, and monitor infection control and quality metrics. Staff Education: Contribute to professional development, share knowledge, and promote efficiency through throughput initiatives. Other Responsibilities: Develop and evaluate care plans with multidisciplinary teams, considering patient goals and needs. Qualifications: Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. Current RN license in Texas or a qualifying compact state. 5+ years of ER nursing experience.
