We’re a contract manufacturer in the medical device space with two unique openings for HR Business Partners – one at our high-volume Buffalo Grove production facility , and one at our R&D office in Chicago’s Ravenswood neighborhood . What You’ll Do: Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations , leading conversations with employees and managers Conduct investigations, mediations, and performance discussions Drive consistency in policy implementation and support change management Partner with leadership on engagement and morale-building initiatives Act as an independent problem solver, balancing compliance with approachability Occasionally support other site HR activities (cross-location collaboration encouraged) Buffalo Grove – Manufacturing Environment Support 300+ employees in a 24/7 production setting Flexible hours with occasional mid-shift coverage (e.g., 10am–6pm) based on employee availability 3 days on-site, 1 day remote after the initial onboarding period Manufacturing experience is a strong plus—but we welcome candidates from other fast-paced, shift-based industries like logistics, healthcare, or hospitality You'll join a broader HR operations team and own the employee relations function for this location Chicago (Ravenswood) – R&D/Office Environment Support a tight-knit, professional group of ~40 employees, primarily engineers This group has seen recent organizational change—you’ll play a key role in boosting morale and rebuilding culture You must be a self-starter who can manage generalist duties independently Prior experience in a technical, engineering, or consulting environment is preferred What We’re Looking For: 5+ years of HR experience with a focus on employee relations Strong interpersonal skills – you listen well, coach confidently, and communicate with empathy Comfortable conducting investigations and navigating sensitive conversations Experience in manufacturing or other fast-moving environments is a plus Why Join Us?
