Job Summary :
The PK-K Teacher Talks Transition Specialist assists the Director of Early Childhood Education with supporting the PK-K transition. The PK-K Teacher Talks Transition Specialist provides linkages and transition support between and among the Somerville Public Schools kindergarten programs, Somerville Public Schools preschool programs, and community preschool programs to ensure a smooth transition to school.
Qualifications/Requirements: Mustbe an SEU, Unit A member Ability to problem solve and multitask, prioritize, and work independently as well as contribute to a team. Excellent organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Technological facility with databases, Google documents, Excel, Word, etc. Flexible, collaborative, and active contributor to a positive and creative work environment. Goal and action-oriented with the ability to monitor milestones and progress. Possesses a desire to collaborate with others. Advanced degree preferred A second language besides English is helpful (especially Spanish, Portuguese, or Haitian Creole).
Responsibilities include
: Coordinate Teacher Talks to support information sharing between teachers. Other duties as assigned

Seasonal/Yearly Appointment
2025-2026 School Year
Stipend: $400/ max amount of hours is 13.33 at $30/hour
Work is to be conducted outside of regular work/school hours
