$70,000.00/hr - $75,000.00/hr Position Overview:
The National Sales Manager at Edgewood Tahoe Resort is responsible for generating revenue and driving sales strategies for the resort across national and international markets. This role focuses on targeting corporate, leisure, group, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) segments to maximize occupancy, increase average daily rate (ADR), and revenue per available room (RevPAR). The ideal candidate will bring a proactive, relationship-driven approach and a deep understanding of the hospitality industry. This role demands a polished sales leader who can represent the resort’s brand with sophistication and build lasting relationships with clients and agencies worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with overall resort objectives. Identify and target new business opportunities in luxury, corporate, and high-end group markets within assigned territory. Manage a portfolio of national accounts and maintain strong relationships with top producers. Partner with third party meeting planners and corporate direct planners. Identify and pursue new business opportunities in key segments including corporate travel and group bookings. Ensure client-facing materials reflect the brand's luxury positioning. Represent the resort brand with elegance, professionalism, and in-depth knowledge of its offerings. Conduct regular national sales calls, in-person presentations, and attend trade shows and industry events to promote the resort. Coordinate FAM trips and site inspections to showcase the resort experience. Work closely with Operations, Events, and Guest Experience teams to ensure seamless execution of group and VIP bookings. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns aligned with sales strategies. Prepare detailed sales reports, and performance analysis for senior leadership. Monitor competitor activity and market trends to adjust strategies accordingly. Negotiate contracts and pricing within approved guidelines. Represent the resort brand with professionalism and enthusiasm at all times. Perform other related duties as assigned to support the overall success of the team and business.
Qualifications and Skills:
Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Minimum 3 years of luxury sales experience, preferably with a Forbes-rated hotel or resort. Proven track record in generating revenue from national markets. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Deep understanding of the luxury travel industry, including key agencies and platforms. Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM systems. Ability to travel across the U.S. and internationally on a regular basis throughout the year. Strong attention to detail, leadership and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to maintaining the high standards of a luxury resort environment. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and support other team members when they are out of the office
Physical Requirements:
Capability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds. Able to perform physical tasks, including bending, lifting, sitting and standing for extended periods.
