Summary
This position is a member of the HR Team primarily focusing on all aspects of payroll such as reviewing payroll reports and timesheets before all payroll transactions, preparing, and processing payroll, and assisting employees with payroll related inquiries and HR needs. This position will also assist in other areas of HR such as general HR tasks. Candidate must uphold and represent ProVia' s Purpose, Vision, Mission, and Values.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities Include but are not limited to the following: Review payroll reports and timesheets for correctness before payroll transactions for assigned facilities Prepare weekly, monthly and end of year payroll reports as required Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form Prepare and approve payroll adjustments Manage and complete incentive spreadsheets Process payroll and complete post payroll tasks Respond to payroll inquiries from employees in a timely manner Manage timecard issues and adjust schedules Complete all offboarding activities for the Sugarcreek and Baltic Facilities Complete all department and pay changes for assigned facilities Assist Benefits Specialist as needed Serve as HR point of contact for the Sugarcreek and Baltic facilities
Advising management on needed actions Assisting with random and new hire follow up drug screens
Cross train on all other aspects of HR Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Strong attention to detail and high sense of accuracy This position requires a highly organized individual with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Confidentiality is key in all aspects of this position Strong multi-tasking abilities Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs Work well independently and within a team Knowledge of Wage & Hour Law and previous payroll experience is preferred High School diploma, preferred
Physical Demands
Ability to stand, kneel, sit, and reach for long periods of time and on a repetitive basis. Ability to sit or stand, using a desktop computer or a laptop, as well as other office equipment and supplies continuously.
