President Position Overview:
The Vice President for Finance, under the direct supervision of the President, is responsible for overseeing the overall financial management of the College. The incumbent works with other senior vice presidents to develop strategies to allocate resources effectively to achieve the institution's goals. The key responsibilities include: Overseeing and managing the institution’s cash resources. Developing risk management strategies, including acquiring insurance for all risks. Collaborating with the investment consultant to optimize the College’s investment portfolio. Working with banks and financial institutions to secure loans when needed. Serving as a staff member on Board Committees—Audit & Legal, Buildings & Grounds, and Finance. Developing the annual institutional budget in collaboration with others. Coordinating with auditors to ensure the completion and filing of reports to outside entities. Recruiting, training, and supervising the accounting staff. Ensuring the production of accounting reports for internal and external users. Performing other duties as assigned by the President.
