Mechanical Electrical Technician

Mechanical Electrical Technician:Are you a hands-on problem solver with a background in automotive, heavy equipment, or industrial electrical systems? Keolis Commuter Services is looking for mechanically inclined professionals to join our team maintaining and repairing the electrical systems that power trains running on the MBTA Commuter Rail network.In this role, you'll apply your mechanical and electrical expertise to inspect, install, and troubleshoot systems on locomotives and passenger coaches. You'll work with both low and high voltage AC/DC circuits, using specialized tools and meters to ensure safe and reliable operation across our fleet.What You'll Bring:Mechanical Aptitude: Experience in automotive, aircraft, heavy equipment, or industrial repair environment is ideal. Trade or technical school grads with training and some work experience are encouraged to apply as well.Electrical Know-How: Ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical systems using schematics and diagnostic tools.Tool Proficiency: Skilled in using electrical meters, specialty tools, and hand tools for precision work.Problem-Solving Skills: Capable of identifying issues and applying practical solutions in real-time.Communication: Strong verbal and written skills to follow instructions and collaborate across teams.Learning Mindset: Willingness to grow through classroom and hands-on training.About Keolis Commuter Services:At KCS, we give every team member-and their ideas-a seat for the journey.
