Mojo, a bold Latin-inspired full-service restaurant brand, is seeking a forward-thinking Executive Sous Chef to support culinary operations across our Forest Hills and Rockville Centre locations. This role works directly under Executive Chef Ventura Lozano and is ideal for a culinary leader who is passionate about flavor, quality, and pushing brand identity through innovative food.
Key Responsibilities:Lead and support BOH operations across both Mojo locations
Uphold high standards for food quality, consistency, and presentation
Collaborate on seasonal menus and contribute trend-forward culinary ideas
Train, coach, and hold kitchen staff accountable to brand standards
Oversee inventory, food costing, and vendor management
Ensure food safety and sanitation compliance at all times
5+ years in kitchen leadership (preferably in upscale or high-volume full-service restaurants)
Advanced culinary knowledge and a trendsetter mentality
Passion for Latin/Caribbean cuisine and flavor-driven dishes
NYC and/or Nassau County Food Handler’s Certification
Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle (travel between locations required)
Strong organizational, communication, and mentoring skills
Committed, driven, and reliable with a hands-on leadership style
Salary: $75,000–$90,000 (based on experience)
