Executive Sous Chef
Location: Downtown Brooklyn, NYC (Commercial Kitchen Space)
Compensation:  Starting $23/hr; commensurate with experience

We are a rapidly growing meal delivery service based in New York City, currently seeking a skilled and motivated Executive Sous Chef to assist our Chef de Cuisine and Culinary Director in the day-to-day kitchen operations, food preparation, and team coordination. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow into a leadership role while contributing to a dynamic and fast-paced kitchen environment.

As a startup, we are building our Opening Team  - looking for dedicated self-starters who not only work independently but who take initiative to improve their skillset on a daily basis.  You'll have a huge opportunity to grow with the team and company as a whole. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Chef de Cuisine in overseeing kitchen operations, including inventory management and vendor coordination

  • Help ensure high standards for food quality, consistency, and kitchen safety, including allergen management

  • Assist with supervising BOH staff; lead by example in maintaining clean, efficient, and organized workstations

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with menu execution and kitchen systems is a plus

  • Availability Wednesday through Sunday for 8+ hour shifts

  • Required: 2-4 years of experience in a professional kitchen

  • Required: 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience

  • Valid NYC Food Handler's Card required
