We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team in Cumming, GA. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where your contributions will make a significant impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Invoice/PO Processing: Review, verify, and process all incoming invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Payment Processing: Prepare and process electronic transfers, checks, and ACH payments.
- Expense Reporting: Assist with employee expense reports and ensure they are processed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts payable transactions and assist with month-end closing activities.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and organized records of all accounts payable activities, ensuring proper documentation for audits and internal controls.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the finance team and other departments to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role, preferably within the construction or real estate industry.
- Education: Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in accounting software.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with vendors and team members.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex transactions and resolve issues efficiently.
- Team Player: Ability to work well in a team environment, with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
