Summary
Tampa VA Healthcare System's Gastroenterology Service is seeking an experienced and dynamic Physician (Gastroenterology). Ideal applicants are those who want to contribute to the achievement of quality care standards, as well as the growth and development of a VA academic hospital program. You must be an excellent communicator and team player who is adaptable to the needs of a growing medical center.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care in outpatient and inpatient settings, including specialized areas such as inflammatory bowel disease, motility, esophagology, hepatology, advanced endoscopy, and general gastroenterology.
- Perform procedures such as endoscopy at the VA hospital.
- Teach medical students, residents, and fellows, with a strong academic affiliation with the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine.
- Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement, and other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certified or eligible in Gastroenterology.
- Full, unrestricted license to practice medicine in any US state or territory.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Completion of residency training in an accredited program leading to eligibility for board certification.
- Physical ability to perform duties as described.
