The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at James A. Haley Veterans Administration in Tampa, FL seeks candidates for Advanced endoscopy (EUS and ERCP preferred) and General Gastroenterology positions that are open due to recent retirements. Applicants must have an MD or DO degree who are board certified or board eligible in Gastroenterology. Clinical responsibilities may include care of patients in the outpatient and inpatient setting at the Veterans Health Administration hospital who specializes in inflammatory bowel disease, motility, esophagology, hepatology, advanced endoscopy, and/or general gastroenterology. The clinical responsibilities will include seeing patients in clinic, inpatient setting as well as performing endoscopy at the VA hospital. Teaching responsibilities may include teaching medical students, residents, and Gastroenterology fellows with strong academic affiliation with University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. Candidates should be outstanding clinicians who excel at teaching and want to practice academic medicine. We seek candidates that want to be part of a collegial team environment.

Preferred Experience: recent graduates or graduating GI fellows are encouraged to apply.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, (Note: Work schedules are determined and approved by the supervisor. The incumbent may be required to work various shifts on a permanent or temporary basis based on facility/patient care needs. This also includes participation in On-Call coverage for evenings, weekends and holidays).

Salary Range: $340,000 - $360,000
