Human Resources Generalist

What is PACE North?
PACE stands for Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly. We are a trusted option for individuals 55 and older who qualify for nursing facility level of care and wish to remain in their homes as they age. What does that mean? We care for the elderly daily both at our state-of-the-art day center on Garfield near Hammond during regular business hours Monday through Friday and as needed in their homes.
What You'll Do:
You'll take full-charge ownership of the
talent acquisition process
- from marketing and social media outreach to onboarding and orientation. But that's just the beginning. You'll also:
Administer our
HRIS system , supporting payroll and benefits processes Manage
employee relations
with care, professionalism, and confidentiality Coordinate
benefits, leaves, compliance, and recordkeeping Track department metrics and prepare impactful reports Oversee
performance management ,
training , and
development systems Support
workers' compensation , event planning, surveys, and more Be a trusted partner to leaders on HR policies and practices Live out our mission, vision, and values every day Why PACE North?

Bachelor's degree in HR or related field (or equivalent experience) 3+ years
of well-rounded HR experience, ideally including healthcare Strong skills in
HRIS systems, compliance, and benefits administration Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices A team player with excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills A
