3rd Shift Maintenance Supervisor Location:Schaumburg, IL

Pay Rate: $35/hr-$40/hr

Hire type: Contract to Hire

Job Summary:

We are seeking a hands-on, technically strong Assistant Maintenance Manager to support maintenance operations within our Frozen Products plant. This role is responsible for supervising maintenance personnel, coordinating equipment repairs and installations, maintaining critical maintenance programs, and partnering closely with production leadership. You'll also provide training, enforce company policies fairly, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts across the facility.

Key Responsibilities: Supervise and direct maintenance staff across assigned shifts Respond to maintenance issues and direct equipment repairs as needed Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager on scheduling, staffing, and coverage strategies Maintain preventive maintenance and safety programs for equipment and systems Provide hands-on technical assistance and troubleshoot mechanical/electrical issues Oversee emergency procurement of parts and materials Lead the site's Emergency Response Team readiness and training Promote plant safety, quality, and cost-savings through daily engagement Serve as a liaison between departments and external equipment vendors Train staff on procedures, safety, and job standards Conduct investigations and administer corrective action as appropriate Qualifications:

Education & Training:

High school diploma or equivalent required Technical training or certifications in electrical/mechanical systems preferred Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, and prepare technical drawings Experience:

3-5 years of progressive maintenance leadership experience in an industrial or food manufacturing setting Working knowledge of PLCs, automation systems, and electrical/mechanical troubleshooting Skills & Competencies:

Strong leadership, planning, and decision-making skills High level of dependability and analytical problem-solving Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

Must be available to provide 24/7 technical assistance as needed Will be exposed to a food manufacturing environment, including cold storage areas Requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, and climbing stairs/ladders
