Waste Management Support - Hyundai - 1st shift

cts as Waste Management Technician for customer-site work. May need to have in depth knowledge and be able to understand and apply RCRA (Resource Conservation & Recovery Act of 1976), DOT & EPA regulations as they affect the packing, transportation, and disposal of hazardous waste. Work in a safe manner while constantly aiming for no incidents or accidents. Know and understand all rules and regulations specific for customer site. Align with all company policies, rules and guidelines. Prepare or confirm accuracy of all paperwork associated with shipping hazardous waste. Prepare pickup and transport of customer wastes, loading and unloading company trucks and common carriers using forklift and other required equipment on customer site. Prepare for shipment and load hazardous waste destined for off-site recycling / disposal facilities. Specialized Knowledge / Skills: Ability to classify waste according to RCRA, EPA, and DOT regulations. Ability to learn proper methods for handling hazardous materials and wastes. Customer service skills. Physical Demands / Environmental Conditions / Other Requirements: Physical ability to tilt back or break ~800 lb. drums onto a dolly. Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time. Pass company physical and drug screen tests. Participate in company medical surveillance program and certified to wear respirator. Exposure to fumes, dirt, noise, and hazardous chemicals daily. May require safety equipment and/or precautions.
The requirements for badging, is the following. The site to visit is: https://visit.hmmausa.com 1. Contractor (use the department, EHS ( Environmental Health and Safety )) 2. Upload drug screening test that is within the last 30 days 3. Upload a letter, from Employer, giving you permission to work on site. 4. Watch Video on HMMA When you come for the badging, bring a copy of the individual, being badged, I-9 form.
