Responsible for the effective planning, scheduling, and execution of maintenance activities to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of equipment and facilities. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on supervision, coordinating resources and leading a maintenance team to achieve operational goals efficiently.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Planning & Scheduling

Develop and manage preventive/predictive maintenance to minimize downtime. Create detailed work plans (scope, resources, timeline). Coordinate with operations to reduce production disruption. Maintain accurate records in JDE: work orders, logs, equipment history. Collaborate with purchasing/vendors to secure timely parts/materials. Track KPIs (MTBF, MTTR, overtime). Plan, schedule, and stage corrective/preventive work. Ensure JDE data is accurate and up to date. Support inventory and purchasing: cycle counts, order/invoice processing, issue parts to WOs. Maintain and advise on stock/rental items. Supervision & Leadership

Lead and mentor maintenance technicians. Assign tasks, monitor performance, enforce safety and quality. Hold team meetings and manage contractors when needed. Review PMs and KPIs with crew. Ensure compliance with company maintenance systems and standards. Project Management

Manage maintenance budget. Support capital project planning/execution. Lead root-cause analysis and continuous improvement. Ensure tools/resources are available for safe, efficient work. Maintenance Execution

Oversee maintenance work to meet company/regulatory standards. Troubleshoot and resolve malfunctions. Prioritize work, complete lubrication/5S routes. Coordinate with Production Supervisor to align equipment readiness. Maintain/repair mobile equipment (forklifts, lifts, light vehicles). Ensure timely, thorough completion of all maintenance plans. Supervise training for crew members. Conduct inspections, enter fault reports. Manage crew time entry, time-off, and daily task reviews. Oversee upgrades/installations for quality and timeliness. Health, Safety & Compliance

Enforce and model safe practices and regulatory compliance (MSHA, federal/state). Conduct inspections, incident investigations, and audits. Promote a safety culture emphasizing awareness, responsibility, and ownership. QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

10+ years maintenance experience in mining/industrial settings. Bachelor's/diploma in Engineering or related field (preferred). 5+ years in planning, supervision, or lead roles. Union experience a plus. Technical Skills

Proficient in JDE or similar CMMS. Skilled in troubleshooting, preventive/predictive maintenance. MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Hubble, budgeting. Leadership & Soft Skills

Strong leadership, organization, problem-solving, and communication. Preferred Certifications

CMRP MSHA or equivalent safety credentials Working Conditions

Industrial/mining settings with temperature/noise variation. On-call availability 24/7, including nights/weekends/holidays. Work in confined spaces, heights, indoors/outdoors, rough terrain.
