Description The Department of Public Works (DPW) is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated
Temporary/Seasonal Office Assistant
to support the Business Office. Under the direction of the Business Coordinator or their designee, the Office Assistant will perform a variety of administrative tasks and provide project support as needed.
Responsibilities
Provide general office support, including answering phones and assisting the public with a variety of transactions. Prepare and issue invoices to residents for municipal services and fees Collect and reconcile payments from residents for various public services Support basic accounting functions and office operations. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications
Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Comfortable working as part of a team and interacting with the public. Positive, professional attitude and willingness to work with residents, staff, students, faculty, and volunteers. Supplemental Information
High school diploma preferred. Prior experience in an office or administrative setting is desirable.
