Job Summary:
To manage and grow metal fabrication contract manufacturing service business with assigned OEM accounts, identify and develop new accounts within assigned industries and market segments. The goal is to manage and grow the assigned account portfolio, estimate existing and new business, maximize the value of these accounts, and develop business relationships with customers and prospects. Success is achieved by developing and applying excellent sales and customer service skills to the account manager/estimator role and delivering long-term incremental business growth consistent with the Company’s goals and objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Request and interpret customer prints, cad and other information. Translate information into accurate quotes leveraging Dalsin’s core competencies. Follow up on quotes to win work. Translate quotes into production ready documents for fabrication. Support NQA process and documentation to ensure accurate and expedited departmental processing.
Develop pricing and processing strategies for key accounts. Proactively analyze profit margin and manufacturing methodology for improvement and growth. Hold annual, strategic business reviews with top accounts, more frequently if required to secure new works and strengthen relationships.
Develop quoting strategies and estimates for new projects, including creating and presenting proposals directly to use with assigned customers.
Plan and execute individualized strategies to grow revenue and profit with assigned OEM customer accounts.
Develop thorough understanding of the customer base, market(s) and the business segments serviced; as well as understanding industry trends and identifying future needs. Summarize and communicate strategic direction and trends to sales group so we can stay operationally relevant.
Proficiency in Epicor ERP / MPR software for many job functions, including CRM and supporting estimating matrix.
Maintain applicable inter-company communications to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction within the organization.
Build a successful team environment with internal resources to help support and cultivate growth strategies and ensure customer expectations are exceeded.
Identify ideas for new services and/or products that have the potential of increasing market penetration and developing new business with your assigned customers. Communicate to management for consideration.
Maintain consistent communication and timely follow-up with customers to understand their evolving business needs and product demands; ensuring accessibility and responsiveness to customer needs.
Provide monthly forecasting, activity and performance updates to Director of Sales. (i.e. customer status, CRM updates, new product ideas, project updates, customer feedback, product status and integration, etc.).
Support Dalsin Industries’ policies and procedures through departmental and company activities.
Must be able to travel to strategic/large customers and business partners for account reviews and projects, less than 10%.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or equivalent, .
Completion of sales training coursework, .
Experience:
5+ years of increasing sales responsibility to OEM customers, preferably in the metal fabrication industry.
Experience in a consultative sales approach to selling custom manufacturing service solutions and/or engineered products.
Strong to delivering a highly professional experience for our customer.
ERP / MRP software, including CRM; Epicor 10, .
