About the Position Position/Specialty: Nuclear Med Tech Shift: Rotating shifts with 2 other techs, 5x8s, 530a-2p, 630a-3p or 730a-4p; rotating call 7 days a week with current staff Weekend Req (Y/N): call only Holiday Req (Y/N): call only Will this traveler float between service lines? yes General Nuc Med and Cardiology Floating Req to Sister Facilities: No Required/Preferred Years of Experience Required: 3 Years Accepts first time travelers: Yes Certs/License Required: BLS, must be NMTCB(N) or ARRT(N) certified. Certs/License Preferred: ARRT (CT) would be a plus but is NOT required. Education Preferred: B.S. or B.A. preferred State License Required: SCRQSA(State License) in Nuclear Medicine and Radiology or Computed Tomography Experience Required: Bone scans (whole body and 3 phase), HIDA scans, GI Bleed, Lymphoscintigraphy, Parathyroid imaging, Thyroid uptake, Renal scans with Lasix, Lung scans, MUGA scans, WBC infection imaging, and MPI stress tests. Radiation Badge REQ: Yes. Radiation badge MUST be provided by agency; MUSC does NOT provide radiation badges to travelers Miscellaneous Open to accommodating block schedule: Approval prior to assignment but not guaranteed. Radius rule? Yes, 60 miles. At 10% less than the posted bill rate RTO Restrictions: All RTO must be included at the time of submission. Approval will be based on facility need. Guaranteed Hours: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks. If this is a problem, please ensure travelers do not confirm a NEW or EXT assignment during the season. Hurricane season runs from June through November each year. The peak months for hurricane activity are August and September.
