Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 3+ years of nuclear and cardiac imaging experience, including certification with NMTCB(N) or ARRT(N), for rotating day shifts.
Responsibilities Position is based in a Level II Trauma, acute care hospitalWork in both general nuclear medicine and cardiology departmentsCaseload includes whole body and 3-phase bone scans, HIDA, GI bleed, lymphoscintigraphy, parathyroid, thyroid uptake, renal scans with Lasix, lung scans, MUGA, WBC infection imaging, and MPI stress testingRotating day shifts (5x8 hrs): 5:30a-2p, 6:30a-3p, or 7:30a-4p, sharing with two other technologistsRotating call responsibilities seven days a week, including weekend and holiday call coverageFloating required between general nuclear medicine and cardiology service lines within the same facilityUtilizes Epic for charting; EMR experience is preferredRadiation badge must be provided by the traveler’s agencyMain responsibilities include performing a comprehensive range of diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures and providing rotating call coverageFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyFacility provides teal tops and black bottoms as the required scrub colorsAll employees may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June-November), especially in August and SeptemberAll requested time off (RTO) must be included at time of application; approval is based on unit needRadius rule: local candidates within 60 miles may be considered at a reduced ratePrevious permanent or PRN staff must be separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
