Ultrasound TechPRN PositionJob Summary:Performs diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment to locate, evaluate and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical dataSchedules and coordinates tests, records test results, and prepares and maintains operational logsCalibrates and maintains equipment and orders supplies when neededFamiliar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular fieldRelies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goalsPerforms a variety of tasksWorks under general supervisionA certain degree of creativity and latitude is requiredQualifications:Typically reports to a chief technologist or managerRequires a two-year allied health degree and successful completion of an approved one-year program in Ultrasound Technology2+ years of experience in the fieldRequires registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)Odessa Regional Medical Center was founded in 1975 as Odessa Women's and Children's Hospital.
