Are you someone who thrives on data-driven decision-making and enjoys untangling the complexities of employee benefits? We're looking for a Benefits Analyst to join our team on a contract basis in Columbus, OH. This role is ideal for a benefits professional who brings both analytical expertise and hands-on experience with open enrollment and benefits strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze and interpret benefits data to support program design, compliance, and cost management
Assist in the administration and optimization of health, wellness, retirement, and other employee benefit programs
Support annual open enrollment activities, including system testing, communications, and employee support
Collaborate with HR, payroll, and vendors to ensure accurate and timely benefits processing
Monitor and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations (e.g., ACA, COBRA, HIPAA)
Prepare reports and dashboards to track benefits utilization and trends
Respond to employee inquiries and resolve complex benefits issues
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of benefits-related experience
Preferred: 2+ years of experience specifically as a Benefits Analyst
Strongly Preferred: Experience supporting open enrollment processes
Preferred: Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting, Human Resources, or Business Administration
Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
