Site Logistics Manager Opportunity

We are seeking a Site Logistics Manager to provide general site logistics management support to Terrestris Global Solutions' ground operations in Los Alamitos, CA. This is a temporary 1099 role. As the Site Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all fuel-related operations on-site, ensuring efficient, safe, and cost-effective fuel procurement, storage, distribution, and reporting. You will also be responsible for the effective management, segregation, collection, and disposal of all waste generated on-site. This role supports uninterrupted site operations through effective fuel logistics management, compliance with safety regulations, and monitoring fuel usage across equipment and vehicles and ensures compliance with environmental regulations, promotes sustainable waste practices, and maintains a clean and safe working environment. You will: Tour site twice daily to monitor fuel levels in all generators on site. Manage daily fuel supply, storage, and distribution operations on-site. Monitor fuel levels in tanks and coordinate fuel deliveries to maintain adequate stock. Track and record fuel usage by equipment, vehicles, and generators. Implement fuel quality control procedures and conduct regular inspections. Supervise the maintenance of fuel tanks, pumps, and dispensing systems. Ensure full compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory standards. Coordinate with fuel suppliers and maintain records of fuel deliveries and usage. Prepare and submit regular fuel consumption and cost reports to management. Tour site once daily to ensure that all refuse containers are emptied and properly maintained. Oversee the collection, segregation, storage, and disposal of refuse and waste materials on-site. Liaise with local waste contractors and recycling services to ensure timely and compliant waste removal. Monitor cleanliness of site areas, particularly refuse collection points, and ensure routine cleaning is carried out. Carry out regular site inspections to identify potential waste management issues or opportunities for improvement. Report any environmental incidents, near misses, or non-compliance promptly. Ensure all equipment related to waste handling (e.g., bins, skips, compactors) is maintained and fit for use. What qualifications do you look for? The ability to work in the U.S. permanently without sponsorship. A High School diploma or equivalent. Experience in fuel management, logistics, or site operations. Knowledge of fuel handling, storage, and transportation regulations. Proficiency in fuel tracking systems and MS Office (especially Excel). Experience in waste management or site operations, ideally within construction or facilities management. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently in remote or high-demand environments. Ability to manage contractors and coordinate multiple waste streams. We are extra impressed by folks with: Military experience, specifically in a Motor Transportation related job field. Certification in hazardous material handling or fuel safety. Knowledge of relevant waste legislation and environmental regulations (e.g., Duty of Care, Waste Transfer Notes). Environmental or Waste Management qualification.
