Job Summary/Basic Function

The Fleet Coordinator will provide planning, directing, managing, coordinating and supervising the fleet program including the assignment, utilization, maintenance, repair, and replacement of fleet vehicles. Training and maintaining safety standards including notification of recalls are also necessary. The Fleet Coordinator will assist with compliance relating to university, state and federal motor vehicle rules and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Manage fleet preventative and non-preventative maintenance and repairs for assets within the fleet • Work with external vendors, as needed, including mechanics • Assist with new vehicle and motorized equipment purchases • Assist with reporting of accidents and act as support during claims process • Responsible for coordination of vehicles funded through all funding sources including Land Grant • Develop and implement training modules for vehicles and equipment use and care • Initiate and provide input on issues affecting vehicle and equipment safety • Ability to exercise judgement and discretion in applying and interpreting federal, state and local laws as well as CSU and Land Grant policies and procedures • Ensure proper paperwork is available for each vehicle • Manage and maintain approved driver list • Assist with conducting mot or vehicle driver's license checks • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications • Experience in related field or bachelor's degree preferred • Experience managing scheduled and/or non-scheduled fleet maintenance program • Valid driver's license • Ability to utilize computer software
