Manufacturing Sanitation Worker

To name a few, our Manufacturing Sanitation Worker will:

Be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards throughout the manufacturing facility. This includes cleaning floors, equipment, restrooms, breakrooms, and ensuring a hygienic environment in compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum production areas, hallways, offices, and other facility spaces.

Clean and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, and break areas regularly.

Empty trash, recycling, and other waste receptacles throughout the facility.

Clean spills promptly and report hazards or unsafe conditions to management.

Operate floor-cleaning machines and other janitorial equipment safely and effectively.

Perform routine deep cleaning tasks such as pressure washing, stripping/waxing floors, etc.

Replenish janitorial supplies (soap, paper products, cleaning agents) as needed.

Assist with snow removal, salting, or landscaping support when required.

Adhere to all safety and health procedures, including the use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).

Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), sanitation standards, and other regulatory guidelines.

Support general maintenance tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Previous janitorial or custodial experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is a plus.

Ability to operate industrial cleaning equipment.

Basic understanding of chemical safety and usage.

Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.

Working Conditions:

Exposure to manufacturing noise, machinery, dust, and chemicals.

May require working during non-standard hours or weekends depending on production needs.

Work is performed indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
