As Visual + Social Media Coordinator, you will create strategic, mission-driven content across visual media and social platforms that amplifies this work and deepens community connection. Your photography, videography, and social media expertise will support both Habitat for Humanity and Habitat ReStore, two efforts working together to make affordable housing possible across East Central Ohio. Through thoughtful storytelling and compelling content, your work will extend Habitats reach, inspire involvement, and help transform the lives of families and children throughout our community. This position reports to:
Chief Communications + Systems Officer (CCO), working closely with the Community Connection team and teams representing all other departments. Key Responsibilities Social Media Management a. Capture high-quality photos and video footage at home builds, events, dedications, ReStore operations, and other key moments. b. Edit images and videos to reflect Habitats brand and values, producing professional content for both digital platforms and print. c. Create short-form video content (e.g., Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, etc.) as well as longer-form storytelling pieces for web and social media. Social Media Management a. Develop and implement social media strategies for Habitat and Habitat ReStore accounts across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other platforms. b. Manage social content calendars, write engaging posts, respond to comments and messages, and monitor analytics to inform strategy. c. Stay current with social media trends and platform updates to keep our content fresh, relevant, and effective. a. Collaborate with communications and marketing teams to plan and execute digital campaigns that support fundraising, volunteer recruitment, community outreach, and other mission-driven initiatives. b. Coordinate with staff, volunteers, families, and key stakeholders to identify and capture stories that reflect the heart of our work and impact. c. Work closely with the CCO to ensure that photos, videos, and social media messaging align with Habitats mission and brand voice. Key Skills Needed to Succeed in this Position: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craftcompelling content for diverse platforms and audiences. Proven experiencemanaging social media with a focus on strategy, engagement, and brand consistency. Skilled in photography and videography, with the ability to produce high-quality,mission-alignedvisual content. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suiteespecially Lightroom, Premiere Pro, and Photoshop. Organized and efficient, with the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. Able to work independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional creative team. Passionate about Habitat for Humanitys mission, with a heart for community development and expanding access to affordable housing. Requirements A valid drivers license, a good driving record, and proof of automobile insurance are required. A criminal background check is required. Willingness to travel and work outside normal hours occasionally. Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. and spend much of the day moving. Work may require bending, kneeling, navigating steps, and reaching in awkward and tiring positions for extended periods of time. Habitat for Humanity builds homes and hope.
