Full Charge Bookkeeper - Fairfield, NJ

Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Full Charge Bookkeeper professional to oversee various financial and human resource functions within our company. This role requires proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel, excellent organizational skills, and a high degree of confidentiality. The ideal candidate will manage our company's financial records, payroll, and HR onboarding processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Responsibilities: - Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes to maintain accurate financial records. - Oversee the General Ledger, including month-end closings and year-end financial statements. - Conduct cash management activities, including bank reconciliations and credit card transactions. - Prepare and present financial reports, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements. - Calculate and prepare sales commissions, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements. - Handle sales and use tax compliance, ensuring accurate reporting and timely payments. - Prepare documents for annual Workers Compensation and Liability audits. - Assist with tax preparations and ensure timely payment of all business-related taxes. - Oversee customer invoicing and assist with credit and collections as required.

Human Resources Responsibilities: - Manage onboarding functions for new hires, ensuring a smooth and welcoming process. - Serve as a liaison for health insurance and workers' compensation insurance matters. - Prepare 401(k) reports and related forms, ensuring compliance and accurate record-keeping. - Maintain employee personnel records, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality. - Track and maintain attendance records for all employees.

Qualifications: - Proven experience in bookkeeping and human resource functions. - Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel. - Strong organizational and computer skills. - Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and confidentiality. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
