Salary Range $25.00 - $28.00 Hourly
Description
St Augustine (Oak Harbor) and St Mary (Coupeville) is seeking a Facilities Manager. This person ensures the facilities of our parish are safe and well maintained. They will manage maintenance, perform repairs, oversee vendors and facilitate repair and construction projects as needed.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Ensure facility equipment is in proper working order. Performs minor repairs and preventive maintenance on church buildings and grounds including plumbing, mechanical, electrical, structural, lighting, and heating systems. Diagnose problems and provide Parish Administrator with recommendations for corrective and preventative maintenance. Represents the parish when dealing with outside vendors and contractors on maintenance, construction, and grounds. Maintain inventory of tools and maintenance supplies Available on-call for emergencies. Maintains current resources and vendors to respond to emergencies. Performs other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications Has demonstrated good communication skills and is able to take direction Strong time management and organizational skills, attention to detail and proficiency in problem-solving Must be able to work independently Minimum 2-years experience as a facility maintenance worker/handyman preferably in a church or school environment Experience with hardware, tools, and electrical equipment Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
Scale Ladders and use mechanical lifts to access roofs and high-reach areas Frequently stands, kneels reaches, bends, grabs, holds, twists etc. to perform maintenance tasks. Works indoors and outdoors throughout the year as duties require. Ability to walk, bend, stand, and or kneel for the duration of shift Ability to carry and lift tools and equipment up to 50lbs. Ability to work safely with chemical cleaning agents Ability and willingness to engage with parishioners and guests in a professional and respectful manner Must pass background check upon hire. Ability to follow oral and written instructions
Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications.
