Search Solution Group is seeking a
Human Resource Generalist
on behalf of our client, a company that provides comprehensive label and packaging solutions across a variety of industries. This position plays a critical role in supporting both day-to-day HR operations and long-term strategic initiatives. The HR Generalist will serve as a key partner to leadership and employees, ensuring compliance, driving engagement, and aligning HR practices with business goals.
Key Responsibilities: Communicate and enforce HR policies while ensuring compliance with federal and state labor regulations.
Monitor changes in employment law and update policies accordingly.
Administer payroll by verifying hours worked, with preference for experience using
ADP Workforce Now .
Serve as a trusted advisor to employees, addressing concerns and providing guidance.
Promote a positive work culture and manage employee relations in a fair and consistent manner.
Support recruitment efforts including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new hires.
Partner with leadership to attract and retain diverse, high-quality talent.
Coach managers on performance feedback, recognition, and performance improvement processes.
Advise supervisors on employee relations matters such as disciplinary actions, terminations, and promotions.
Manage safety training, incident reporting, and compliance; investigate accidents and file reports for insurance carriers.
Maintain accurate employee records and HR filing systems.
Track employee leave, PTO, and sick time in accordance with policy.
Requirements Include:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field is strongly preferred.
A combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered.
Experience: 3-5 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing, logistics, or similar environment.
Proven ability to handle a multifaceted HR role with a strong generalist foundation.
Skills: Strong understanding of HR practices, labor laws, and compliance standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience managing employee relations and advising leadership.
Proficient in HRIS systems;
ADP Workforce Now
strongly preferred.
Comfortable managing sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Certifications: HR certifications (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) are a plus.
Knowledge: Familiarity with OSHA regulations and experience maintaining safety logs and delivering safety training.
Knowledge of effective performance management and employee engagement strategies.
Key Competencies: Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
High level of integrity and confidentiality
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
Strong relationship-building and conflict-resolution abilities
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
