Tara Performing Arts High School, a Waldorf-inspired institution dedicated to fostering free-thinking, compassionate, and courageous individuals, is seeking an experienced

Marketing & Communications Manager

to help articulate and amplify the story of Tara to prospective families, donors, and the wider community.

This is more than a marketing role-it is a mission-driven position for someone who can translate the spirit and genius of the transformative Tara educational experience into compelling, consistent messaging across platforms.

What You'll Do: Drive Strategy, Elevate Our Brand, and Tell Our Story

Reporting to the Administrator and working closely with Tara Leadership, you will develop and ensure that annual marketing goals are achieved, aligned with the school's core purpose, guiding principles, and future aspirations.

Key Responsibilities

Work with Tara leadership to develop and ensure the annual marketing goals are achieved. Evaluating progress toward these goals, the Marketing Manager will refine as needed, and communicate progress. Strategy, Storytelling & Brand

Develop, refine, and implement an integrated marketing and communications strategy that supports enrollment growth, donor development, retention, and community engagement. Translate Tara's unique pedagogy, festivals, curriculum, and performing arts programming into accessible, inspiring narratives for diverse audiences. Define and steward Tara's brand identity across all media. Create and maintain brand guidelines, voice, and visual assets to communicate the spirit and guiding principles of Tara. Content Creation & Campaigns

Produce and manage marketing collateral including brochures, print and digital ads, donor materials, e-newsletters, and annual reports. Lead the creation and execution of targeted digital marketing initiatives including email campaigns, SEO-optimized blog content, social media storytelling, and online advertising. Maintain and enhance the school's website (currently hosted on Wix), ensuring clarity, consistency, beauty, and optimization for search engines (SEO). Partnerships & Outreach

Cultivate strategic partnerships with media outlets, local businesses, and ambassadors to enhance visibility and reputation. Collaborate with the Development team to produce donor-facing materials and campaigns that align with Tara's values and voice. Collaborate with Enrollment to manage coordinated and aligned outreach efforts across platforms. Production Promotion

Oversee and/or collaborate with external contractors for video production and photography, to ensure brand alignment and timely delivery of assets. Create event-specific campaigns and communications around school festivals, theater productions, outreach and enrollment events. Immersion & Engagement

Attend major school events-festivals, plays, parent evenings, open houses-to deeply understand and authentically convey the school culture and transformational impact of the Tara experience.
