Marketing & Communications Producer

Position Overview

Lasell University seeks a Marketing & Communications Producer to support its Marketing & Communications team by creating and managing engaging digital content across multiple platforms including paid, earned and owned. This role blends storytelling, writing, video, and digital production to bring Lasell’s people, programs, and mission to life.

The ideal candidate is a strong writer with a passion for storytelling, digital content strategy, and multimedia production. They will attend campus events, interview key stakeholders, and develop dynamic content that highlights the university’s students, faculty, and programs.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Storytelling

Produce engaging written, digital, video, and audio content that tells compelling stories about the Lasell community. Conduct interviews with students, faculty, and staff to generate news stories and feature content for use on multiple Lasell platforms. Collaborate with the social media team to develop and create content suitable for various platforms.

Website Content Management & SEO

Write, edit, and maintain website content, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and adherence to SEO best practices. Update Lasell.edu with fresh content, ensuring ADA compliance and a strong user experience.

Digital Advertising & Lead Generation

Focusing on Lasell’s Graduate programs, support the development and execution of paid digital advertising campaigns across multiple platforms. Write ad copy, select visual assets in collaboration with the design team, and help manage targeting strategies to support enrollment, brand awareness, and event promotion Track campaign performance using analytics tools and provide insights to improve ROI and engagement Collaborate with other departments and outside agencies to ensure advertising strategies are aligned with strategic goals.

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Strong writing and editing skills, with an understanding of AP Style and digital content best practices. Familiarity with paid digital advertising platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn Ads) and basic understanding of audience targeting and performance metrics Experience with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Drupal), SEO, and website content management. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and basic multimedia editing. Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing multiple deadlines.
