Description We are specifically seeking candidates located in or around the following areas: Portland, OR Vancouver, WA Seattle, WAWe offer a competitive Wage and Benefit package including Medical/Dental/Vision/Life/Disability Plans, Paid Time Off, and 401k with company match!POSITION OBJECTIVE: The Territory Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth within an assigned geographical area by developing new business opportunities, supporting product category expansion, and supporting new relationships with existing clients. This role includes identifying market trends, ensuring customer satisfaction, and collaborating with internal teams to achieve sales objectives. The Territory Manager will spend 75% of their time traveling to develop relationships, support national accounts, and engage with customers on job sites, ensuring alignment with safety standards in construction environments.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Business Development & Account Growth Cultivate relationships with prospective and existing customers who use or may benefit from heavy marine construction equipment, focusing on growing key product categories and revenue streams. Actively prospect for new customers and projects by leveraging industry networks, lead generation tools, online platforms (e.g., FedBizOpps, State DOT sites, Dodge), and trade shows. Identify and engage stakeholders, including general contractors, engineers, and procurement teams, to influence purchase decisions. Work collaboratively with territory managers and National Accounts Managers to support strategic account growth, ensuring seamless integration with broader sales objectives.Sales Operations Respond to customer inquiries and provide detailed quotes within 24 hours, leveraging internal resources (engineering, logistics, Inside Sales) for support. Develop custom sales strategies and solutions to address customer needs, utilizing existing equipment configurations and collaborating with engineering teams when necessary. Act as the primary point of contact throughout the sales process, ensuring timely and professional communication.Customer Relationship Management Deliver exceptional customer service by anticipating needs, addressing concerns promptly, and providing support throughout the project lifecycle. Conduct on-site visits to assess customer needs, build relationships, and ensure satisfaction with Poseidon Barge products. Collect and document critical project details, including credit applications, charter agreements, insurance certificates, and trucking information, to maintain comprehensive project files.Market Research & Strategy Continuously monitor market trends, upcoming projects, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth. Create and maintain a pipeline of opportunities, utilizing CRM systems to track prospects, project details, and progress. Provide input into product development and marketing strategies based on customer feedback and industry demand.Safety and Compliance Understand and uphold safety requirements for construction environments, advising customers on best practices when using Poseidon Barge products. Adhere to all industry regulations, ensuring Poseidon Barge maintains its reputation for safety and reliability.Collaboration Partner with logistics and engineering teams to ensure timely delivery, assembly, and pickup of equipment, meeting or exceeding customer expectations. Actively contribute to team meetings to share market insights and sales strategies, fostering collaboration across regions.EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred). Minimum of 5 years' experience in field sales, ideally in heavy equipment or construction industries. Proven track record in developing new business and driving revenue growth. Strong understanding of construction safety requirements and protocols. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Highly self-motivated and detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in CRM systems, MS Office, and sales tools.PHYSICAL FACTORS/WORKING CONDITIONS: Position requires 75% travel, including overnight trips and site visits, often outdoors and in construction environments.
