The Promotions and Events Manager’s primary job function is to oversee all promotions and events for Santa Ana Star Casino. It is the Promotions and Events Manager’s responsibility to plan, implement and ensure the successful execution of strategic marketing promotions and events that meet or surpass the financial goals of the Santa Ana Star Casino’s marketing department. Responsibilities
Manages all casino promotions and events as they relate to creation, pro-forma, implementation and post analysis. Specifically assumes responsibility to make qualified decisions concerning promotions, events and related duties. Oversees all required reports for and on behalf the Promotions and Events divisions are maintained in a dutiful and timely manner and according to Santa Ana Star Casino Hotel specifications including but not limited to revenue, expenses, labor, business volumes and statistics, regulations, and assets. Adheres to all gaming, state, federal and local ordinances. Implement promotional policies and procedures, as directed by the Director of Marketing. Collaborates with the Director of Marketing to develop and implement innovative Player’s Club programs, promotions and property wide entertainment. Assists the Director of Marketing with the development and implementation of the promotions and events annual budget. Works with all internal departments to maximize collaboration. Manages inter-departmental and internal communication/notification process for all promotions and events activities. Administers the selection, training and scheduling of departmental staff, off-site help and temp employees, to include contract labor. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Preference is given to qualified Santa Ana Tribal Members. 5-year’s previous work experience in a position requiring organizational skills and attention to detail. BS degree preferred, not required. Four to seven years of professional management experience in marketing, entertainment, promotions or related field. Excellent administrative skills and abilities. Must understand statistics. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Must be able to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. Responsible, detail oriented and able to multi-task. Ability to effective utilize MS Office products. . Knowledge of casino player tracking systems preferred. Ability to compose correspondence, manage schedules and projects. Must possess good time management, organization and recordkeeping skills. Must possess the ability to coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions. Effectively interface and coordinate activities involving employees and/or guests and work effectively and professionally with employees at all levels of the organization. Must be able to work in a team-oriented atmosphere, work independently and handle projects on an individual and/or group basis. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. A smartphone capable of running company applications and communication systems is required. If a smartphone is not provided by the company, a candidate or employee may be provided a smartphone of the company’s choice, through a payroll deduction program. All employees are required to proficiently use a smartphone for company applications, email, and text. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Pueblo of Santa Ana Gaming Regulatory Commission key gaming license.

Must be able to maneuver around the office and the facility, as needed, to collect and distribute all necessary documents.
