Position Summary
SGC Foodservice is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented HR & Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic HR team. This critical role is responsible for the end-to-end processing of bi-weekly payroll, preparation of payroll and HR reports, and support of broader HR operations. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in payroll systems, a strong understanding of compliance standards, and a collaborative approach to HR support. Position Summary

This critical role is responsible for the end-to-end processing of bi-weekly payroll, preparation of payroll and HR reports, and support of broader HR operations. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in payroll systems, a strong understanding of compliance standards, and a collaborative approach to HR support.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll
Accurately process bi-weekly payroll for all employees in a timely manner. Review and audit timekeeping data, employment changes (new hires, terminations, salary updates), and deductions. Maintain and update employee payroll records in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. Coordinate with the Finance team to ensure accurate payroll reporting and assist with month-end/year-end reconciliations. Generate and deliver payroll-related reports including wage summaries, deductions, and audits. Serve as the primary HR contact for payroll-related inquiries and issue resolution.
HR Support
Ensure HRIS and payroll systems reflect accurate and up-to-date employee information. Produce HR metrics and reports (e.g., turnover, headcount, PTO balances). Support compliance, document maintenance, and HR file audits. Provide administrative and operational support across the HR department as needed.
Qualifications
Education (Preferred): Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered. 24 years of payroll experience, including exposure to multi-state payroll processing. Solid knowledge of payroll practices, labor law, and applicable tax regulations. Hands-on experience with payroll software such as UKG, ADP, or Paycom. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort with data reporting. High level of accuracy, discretion, and attention to confidentiality. Experience working with HRIS systems. Knowledge of ACA and other relevant HR compliance requirements. Previous experience in a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment.
