Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-starter who is dedicated and detail-oriented, a Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all aspects of the project align with company standards and client expectations.
As part of our team, you will have a direct impact on the company’s success, with active roles in the field, ensuring a project runs smoothly, and providing high-quality service.
This position requires strong technical skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Provide excellent overall administrative and client support in the field Assist in maintaining a clean, orderly, safe job site, including help with conducting the weekly safety meetings and all project documentation. Responsible for the organization, distribution, and management of all construction documents for field office(s). Track and coordinate RFIs, submittals, & change order work with subcontractors efficiently. Work collaboratively with the project manager/superintendent in the production and distribution of a three-week look-ahead and several schedules using MS Project. Must demonstrate and take initiative on all current projects with excellent attention to detail. Climbing and walking on scaffolding may be necessary. The Assistant Project Manager will be working on-site at multiple ground-up and large-scale renovation projects in the High-End Residential sector. Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to develop project plans and schedules. Utilize construction management software, including ProCore, to track project progress and documentation. Conduct site visits to monitor construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings to guide project execution. Assist in project scheduling and resource allocation to optimize workflow and meet deadlines. Perform time management tasks to ensure projects stay on track and within budget. Communicate effectively with subcontractors, vendors, and team members to facilitate smooth operations on construction sites. Prepare reports on project status, challenges, and solutions for management review. Requirements
Minimum 2 years of construction experience or an equivalent degree in Engineering or Construction Management Proven experience in construction management or project engineering roles. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook, PowerPoint). Proficiency in construction management software such as ProCore is highly desirable. Detail-oriented, self-starter, capable of completing tasks efficiently (document processing). Flexible to rapid pace and changing situations. Adaptable to all work environments: in the field, in the office, remote work (if needed). Fast learner, with the ability to identify and resolve issues independently with minimal supervision. Team player with excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and enthusiasm for a collaborative environment. Strong understanding of project scheduling techniques and tools. Excellent blueprint reading skills with a keen eye for detail. Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams. Ability to work on-site at construction locations as required.
