Job Purpose Manages programmatic administrative activities for students and faculty in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. Develops and coordinates systems and processes to ensure programmatic success and compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
Essential Functions
Academic Planning (45%)
Develop semester classroom schedules in university system (ACES), considering student cohorts, progression plans, faculty expertise/availability, and university needs.
Coordinate with the University Core for pre-enrollment of nursing students in core classes.
Create and manage a database of BSN cohorts and track student progression and graduation readiness.
Liaise with the Student Affairs Committee (SAC) for students not meeting progression standards.
Research, create, and upload BSN textbook lists to the GU Bookstore in coordination with publishers and faculty.
Work with online vendors to support curricular needs.
Support faculty with room scheduling for orientations, including creating a master course calendar and managing syllabi.
Assist with exam administration in coordination with the Academic Testing Center.
Coordinate with outside vendors (e.g., Kaplan, publishers, uniform suppliers) for products and services.
Coordinate student program orientation, including welcoming and training new students.
Provide general support to BSN faculty as needed.
Assist the BSN Academic Advisor with semester planning and communication.
Serve as a resource and backup for advising questions.
Work with the Registrar's office to review and approve transfer credits.
Business Processes and Technology (40%)
Supervise and train staff, faculty, and work-study students on department services and programs.
Coordinate with IT for system access setup.
Maintain accurate electronic student files.
Create and manage workflows and business processes, providing training for efficiency.
Manage and analyze data, generate reports, and develop surveys as required.
Manage program communication and document storage.
Support councils and committees with scheduling, agendas, minutes, and follow-ups.
