Our Excess Casualty Construction Unit is expanding. We seek a Senior Underwriter, Excess Casualty - Construction, to support the National Accounts team. You will be responsible for generating new business, managing a portfolio of renewable accounts, analyzing data, evaluating liabilities, and building relationships with brokers and clients. Responsibilities

Manage profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned Construction Excess Casualty book through risk underwriting and strategic adherence. Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to optimize risk and profitability. Monitor premiums, costs, and claims ratios; take corrective actions to ensure long-term profitability. Work independently within delegated authority, making referrals as needed. Maintain relationships with peers, leaders, and internal partners to identify cross-selling and product development opportunities. Foster external relationships with brokers to market and sell Ascot’s products. Adhere to underwriting guidelines, aiming for profitability over top-line growth. Provide feedback to management to improve processes and customer relevance. Analyze data to enhance underwriter productivity and broker experience. Document risk assessments clearly through qualitative and quantitative analysis. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. At least 4 years of Construction underwriting experience preferred. Knowledge of Construction Excess Casualty products and broker relationships. Strong collaboration and communication skills. Excellent organizational and analytical skills. Self-motivated with interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Professional designations like ASLI, CPCU, ARM preferred but not required. Ability to travel 10-15%. Compensation and Benefits

Base salary ranges from $110,000 to $140,000, with potential bonuses and discretionary rewards. Benefits include health coverage, paid time off, disability insurance, 401(k), and more. Additional Details
