F3 & Associates, Inc. is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to manage and process payroll across multiple states, including California and Nevada, with a portion of the employee pool being unionized. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of multi-state payroll regulations, union payroll processing, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Process payroll for both union and non-union employees in California and Nevada, ensuring compliance with multi-state and union payroll regulations. * Maintain accurate payroll records, including earnings, deductions, benefits, garnishments, and union dues. * Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing in accordance with union contracts, prevailing wage laws, and state-specific labor laws. * Calculate and process union-related payroll components, such as dues, benefits, and overtime per collective bargaining agreements (CBAs). * Stay updated on California and Nevada wage and hour laws, and tax withholding requirements. * Work closely with HR and Accounting Department to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance. * Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and other compliance-related reports for state and federal agencies. * Assist in payroll audits, both internal and external, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with regulations. * Address employee inquiries regarding payroll, tax deductions, and union-related payroll matters.
*Qualifications:*
* *Experience:* Minimum of 3-5 *years of payroll processing experience* in a *multi-state* environment, with *union payroll experience preferred*. * *Software Proficiency:* Experience with *ADP or Deltek software* for payroll processing preferred but not required. * *Education:* High School Graduate * *Skills:* * Strong understanding of *multi-state payroll regulations (California & Nevada)* and *union payroll processing*. * Familiarity with *collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) and union deductions*. * Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel. * Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. * Strong organizational and communication skills. * Ability to handle confidential information with integrity. * Experience with payroll tax filings, audits, and compliance reporting.
